I want to ask you to come out on Sunday, June 9th for a 1 to 3 mile walk to Help FIGHT KIDNEY Disease. We start at the Great Lakes Science Center it's a short walk to help bring attention to this Disease. 

Team T-Shirts will be provided to every member that signs up and walks or makes a Donation. I know you can't make it to the Cleveland event so I'm asking you to make a Donation, Repost on Social Networks, on your websites wherever.

The National Kidney Foundation's Kidney Walk is helping fund NKF's initiatives in awareness, prevention and treatment as we lead the fight against kidney disease. With the increase in diabetes and high blood pressure - two major risk factors - chronic kidney disease is rising as well. The NKF is working to reach the 1 in 3 American adults at risk with important prevention messages before it's too late. Your participation in our events has never been more critical.

• Chronic kidney disease affects 26 million Americans and most don’t know it
• 1 in 3 American adults, or 73 million people are at increased risk
• Risk factors include high blood pressure, diabetes and family history of these conditions and kidney disease
• Early detection and proper treatment can slow or prevent kidney disease
• Once kidneys fail, patients need dialysis or a transplant to survive
• 94,000 people in the U.S. are waiting for a kidney transplant
• In the U.S., kidney disease kills 90,000 each year - more people than breast or prostate cancer

Welcome to our Kidney Walk Team Page! We are taking lifesaving steps to bring awareness to kidney disease. The Kidney Walk is a fun, inspiring community fundraiser that brings communities, businesses, friends and families together to fight kidney disease and promote organ donation. Nearly 80 cents of every dollar raised goes directly to support National Kidney Foundation programs and services, including free community screenings, patient services, education, and much more.
Each member of our team is already hard at work fundraising for this great cause.
