2013 Abu Unity Festival
The Virginia based Abu Unity Foundation hosts the annual Abu Unity Festival (aka Abu Fest),
a free to the public festival full of games, food, entertainment, and
knowledge which is shared with its patrons throughout the event. The Abu Fest
is held right after the start of the school year to motivate the Youth
of the Newport News, Virginia and surrounding areas to excel beyond the
boundaries of any negative circumstance they may be facing within their
community or home and also to jump start their school year with a
positive, motivation-fueled attitude to ensure academic success.
Through the use of Performing Arts the Abu Fest shares its message of peace and unity while honing in on leadership skills necessary to obtain a career or run a successful independent business. In order to achieve this, the Abu Unity Foundation unites community leaders, local business owners, motivational speakers, athletes, independent musicians, comedians, and non-profit organizations for the sole purpose of motivating and celebrating the achievements of our Youth and encourage them to embrace and tap into their unique talents and intelligence, unleashing their true potential.
This year the Abu Unity Foundation presents the 2013 Abu Unity Festival, where the theme will be centered around celebrating fatherhood! This year our focus will be on the contributions of Leadership and Strength Fathers bring into the family structure.
We welcome everyone who will be in the Virginia area on September 28, 2013 to stop by and join us in celebrating the lives of our Future Leaders. Let's encourage them, together, to push beyond any limitations placed on them at the 2013 Abu Unity Festival: 600 Jefferson Ave, Newport News, VA 23606 from Noon - Sunset on Sept 28th (rain date: Sept 29th).
